Needs to Make This
- 2-liter plastic bottles
- Utility knife or sharp craft scissors
- Matte acrylic exterior paint or spray paint (sand, terracotta, or sage)
- Nylon cord or aircraft wire
- Potting mix and herb seedlings (mint, basil, parsley)
How to Make It
- Wash the plastic bottle thoroughly and remove the plastic label.
- Cut out a wide rectangular window along one side of the bottle body, leaving the top cap and bottom intact.
- Melt or punch 3 small drainage holes on the side directly opposite the cut window.
- Drill two holes near the top and bottom ends to run hanging nylon cords vertically through multiple bottles.
- Paint the exterior with a textured terracotta or sandy matte spray paint, fill with soil, plant herbs, and hang vertically in a sunlit spot.
