13. The Aquaglide Sunken Aquarium Bed
What This Idea Means
Bringing nature indoors in a high-tech or luxury way, the Aquarium Bed places a vibrant living ocean backdrop directly behind and above your sleeping area. Waking up to tropical fish swimming overhead adds instant motion and color to any build.
How to Make It
- Build the Tank Frame: Construct a 4×3 hollow glass wall behind your bed space using Cyan Stained Glass or Seamless Glass.
- Fill & Decorate Tank: Fill the inside of the glass wall with water sources, Sea Pickles, Coral Blocks, Seagrass, and tropical fish. Light up the interior bottom with Sea Lanterns.
- Bed Platform: Place two Cyan or Light Blue Beds directly in front of the glass tank wall.
- Surrounding Enclosure: Frame the outer edges of the glass tank with Smooth Quartz or Dark Oak Slabs to conceal the water edges cleanly.
Tips and Variations
- Tips: Ensure all water blocks inside the tank are full source blocks so fish swim naturally without getting caught in downward currents.
- Variations: Expand the glass tank so it curves up and over the bed like an archway tunnel ceiling for an immersive underwater deep-sea experience.
