7. Tropical Beachside Tiki Deck

What This Idea Means

A relaxed seaside layout designed to sit right along water margins. It incorporates thatched roofing elements, vibrant plants, and open lounge areas for ultimate oceanfront views.

Needs to Make This Build

  • Jungle Wood / Bamboo Wood
  • Hay Bales or Moss Blocks for thatched roof elements
  • Barrels and Composters
  • Trapdoors (Jungle or Mangrove)
  • Campfires (unlit for decking texture)

How to Make It

  1. Raise on Stilts: Drive Fence posts into the water margin to raise the patio platform 1–2 blocks above sea level.
  2. Build an Unlit Campfire Deck: Place unlit campfires side-by-side (extinguish using water or a shovel) to form a unique textured wooden boardwalk deck.
  3. Add Bar & Seating: Build a 3-block long bar counter using Barrels topped with Trapdoors, paired with high stools (Fences topped with Carpets).
  4. Construct Umbrellas: Place a central fence post 4 blocks high, topped with a diamond pattern of Hay Bales or colorful Wool to look like beach umbrellas.
  5. Landscape: Scatter Cocoa Beans on Jungle Wood, plant Melon Slices, and surround with Coral and Sea Pickle jars.

Tips and Variations

  • Lighting: Hide Glowstone beneath surrounding water blocks to make the shoreline deck glow cleanly without visible light sources.
