13. The Cursed Witch’s Sabbat Altar

13

Diverge from the whimsical witch aesthetic and delve into the dark, primal world of folk horror and ancient witchcraft. Construct a towering altar made of rough-hewn tree branches, dried bones, and animal skulls. The altar should be laden with black candles, bowls of dark red liquid, hand-drawn pentagrams, and ancient, leather-bound grimoires written in unrecognizable runes. Hang intricate, handmade wicker pentagrams and protective “witch bottles” filled with rusty nails and hair from the ceiling. Burn natural incense like patchouli, myrrh, and dried sage to fill the room with a heavy, intoxicating scent that evokes ancient, forbidden forest rituals.
