20. The Void of the Endless Hallway
Use a classic optical illusion to create a disorienting, endless void in your home. At the end of a hallway or inside a deep closet, construct a large infinity mirror using a one-way mirror sheet, a standard mirror, and a frame lined with dim, flickering white LED lights. When guests look into the mirror, the hallway will appear to stretch on for miles into a dark, pitch-black abyss. Place a terrifying, skeletal silhouette far back in the reflection layers, giving the illusion that a creature is walking toward them from an infinite distance.
