19. The Tavern Keeper’s Multi-Chimney Inn

What This Idea Means

The vibrant central hub of medieval village social life. This is one of the largest houses in the village, boasting multiple chimneys, outdoor seating, and warm lighting.

How to Make It

Design an extensive two-story floor plan ($12 \times 14$). Use stone bricks for the ground floor and classic timber-framing (dark oak + white terracotta) for the spacious upper floor. Build two large brick chimneys on opposite ends of the structure to heat both the main tavern hall and upper guest rooms. Create a covered outdoor porch with tables (fences with pressure plates) and benches (stairs).

Tips and Variations

  • Hang a detailed custom sign over the front door featuring a painted shield or animal head.
  • Place barrels with tripwire hooks (taps) along the interior tavern walls.
  • Variation: Include a stone-walled underground cellar for extra keg storage and secret village meetings.

Materials Needed

Stone bricks, dark oak logs, white terracotta, brick stairs, campfires, barrels, tripwire hooks, and lanterns.
