15. Wax Paper Leaf Sun Catchers
Capture the brilliant sunlight of crisp November mornings with beautiful wax paper leaf sun catchers. This classic craft teaches children about color mixing and the physical properties of wax when exposed to gentle heat, resulting in a vibrant window display that mimics stained glass.
Shave small pieces of red, orange, yellow, and brown crayons using a hand sharpener. Place a sheet of wax paper on an ironing board, sprinkle the colorful crayon shavings evenly across it, and cover with a second sheet of wax paper. An adult should gently press a warm iron over a protective towel placed on top of the wax paper, melting the shavings into a beautiful, blended swirl of color.
